Venues

The hotel and event grounds are side-by-side, and are at the base of Snowmass Village Ski Resort.  The small town of Snowmass is a 5-minute drive away and has restaurants and shopping. The large town of Aspen is 8 miles away.  The Host Hotel is in a row of private condo type buildings that are lined up and down the slope of the ski area. The hotel is in-between the parking lot and the grassy ski slope. A large conference center is next to the hotel, which will hold most events. The Village Mall is on the property, and houses shops and restaurants. The large lawn area (ski slope) near the hotel can be used to potty/exercise dogs and many smaller lawn areas are surrounding the hotel.  

Below is a birds-eye view of the area surrounding the hotel. The Fanny Hill Ski Slope on the left side is the grassy slope where the Gathering Tent is. The Wildwood Lodge in the center is the Host Hotel. The Snowmass Conference Center to the left of the Hotel is where most of the events will take place. The Village Mall area is where most of the restaurants and shops are. All parking is on the right.

At this point, all Conformation events will be held in the over 10,000 square foot ballroom on ground level of the Conference Center (pictured below).  We are considering moving a day of Conformation to the Community Park.

Obedience will he held in the Bedford Ballroom which is on the opposite side of the mall (the lower left side of the diagram above).  The Bedford Ballroom is 4400 square feet.

Gathering Tent

The Welcome Party will be held in the Fanny Hill Tent, which we are calling the Gathering Tent for the week.  After the Welcome Party, it will be used for informal gatherings before and after events.  It is adjacent to the hotel restaurant so bar service is available.  The picture on the left is the Gathering Tent, which is 2400 sq ft, or 40' x 60'. At least two sides will be removed and the view is of the valley below (picture on right). It will have tables and chairs on the carpet covered wood floor, and will be available for us all week. The hotel on the right is part of the hotel property, but the part we will be staying in is just behind it. The grass you see is part of the "grassy slope" that is ours to use.

Roof Garden Tent

The Roof Garden Tent is where the Banquet will be held.  It is sitting on top of the Conference Center and overlooks the valley below.  It holds up to 300 people.  

Community Park

The Community Park will be used for the Draft Trial and possibly the Fun Day.  The park is 3 miles from the Host Hotel/Conference Center/Village Mall.

The Village Mall

The Village Mall is adjacent to the Host Hotel and Conference Center.  This is where the shops and restaurants are.  Dogs are welcome in the Mall, and some stores even allow them inside and offer treats.  Most of the restaurants have outdoor patio areas where dogs can be tied up on the perimeter while you eat (see picture below).
